How do I deal with high school stress?

Joy... it's OK dear ... just try to relax some ! You'll do yourself a world of good if you do ! High school is high school ... and yes kids will be kids and act immature. College relationships usually are better as kids mature some into adulthood. That's to be expected. It's challenging for everyone to find real close mature friends. It truly takes time to find and develop sound relationships. It takes a lot of patience. You need to make time for more sleep, because it's one of the ingredients to fighting anxiety and depression. You also need physical exercise every day for say 30 minutes to help your body and mind burn off stress. You also have to eat healthy, and get all the food groups, especially raw vege.s and fruits. Now as far as school is concerned, you are not a machine ! You are going to have to be realistic on studying and the grades you get. I don't care what anyone pressures you to do, it's your health that matters ! The grades are very very secondary ! The key is to take advantage of the study helps available on figuring hard to understand subjects. Posting problems on yahoo answers is one way to help understand subjects. Teachers and tutors also are helpful in this way ! Joy, if you don't work on your health first, you will have to see your doctor for antidepressants/anti-anxiety medications. Just take some time daily to veg out and relax with something you enjoy. Please take care ! Chip
